Care that follows the journey of pregnancy

Pregnancy is a period of significant physical and emotional change. Good maternity care is not limited to one appointment; it involves appropriate assessment, monitoring, guidance and continued support throughout pregnancy and after childbirth.

Dhanya Speciality Hospital provides maternity services as part of its women's healthcare focus, including antenatal care, support for high-risk pregnancies and postnatal care.

Phase 01

Antenatal care

Regular antenatal care helps monitor the health and progress of pregnancy and gives expectant mothers an opportunity to discuss symptoms, concerns and questions with their healthcare team. The appropriate schedule depends on the individual pregnancy.

Phase 02

High-risk pregnancy care

Some pregnancies require closer medical supervision because of maternal health conditions, previous pregnancy history or other factors identified by the treating team. Patients can discuss their individual circumstances with the appropriate obstetric team.

Phase 03

Postnatal care

Care does not end with childbirth. The postnatal period brings its own physical and emotional changes — follow-up allows mothers to discuss recovery, feeding, wellbeing and other concerns.

Questions patients ask

When should antenatal care begin?

Pregnancy care should be discussed with a qualified obstetric professional as early as possible after pregnancy is confirmed. The treating doctor can advise on the appropriate schedule.

What is a high-risk pregnancy?

A pregnancy may be considered high risk when certain maternal, pregnancy-related or fetal factors require closer monitoring or specialist management. The specific assessment is individual to each pregnancy.

Is postnatal care necessary?

Yes. The period after childbirth is an important part of maternal healthcare, and appropriate follow-up helps address recovery and ongoing concerns.

Pregnancy deserves informed care at every stage.
